Therapy is an difficult, maybe even awkward relationship to seek out. The reality of reaching out to a therapist begins with the realization that you don’t feel okay, that something is off. So before you know anything about me or my approach, it’s important to me that you see me as a human. My hope is that this disarms the intimidating process of vulnerability. I want our time together to feel casual, easygoing, and comfortable.
My approach is rooted in this deep awe I have for relationships —the way they can wound us, shape us, and ultimately help us grow. They are the most formative experiences we have and will always have. Our connections matter deeply, and they’re always worth approaching with curiosity, care, and understanding.
I walk alongside my clients by seeking to understand the layers of their pain and longings. I take time to disentangle the parts of themselves that feel misunderstood or fragmented. I believe meaningful change happens when individuals and couples are able to repair relational ruptures. My goal is to equip clients with skills to express emotions, miscommunications, and concerns clearly, and to do so without fear or judgment. In doing so, I strive to help them build stronger emotional bonds.
I work from an emotionally focused perspective. Emotions are action tendencies, constantly telling us what to do, whether we are consciously aware of this or not. My therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and collaborative, with an emphasis on attentive listening, validation, and encouragement throughout our work together.
I would love to connect with you and hear your story. I would be absolutely honored to walk with you on this journey
